Jesus of Nazareth , a Jewish nonviolent mystic and sage, lived under, dealt with, and resisted the Roman Empire and its occupation and oppression of his homeland, the Province of Judea. He was crucified (executed on a cross) by the Roman Prefect Pontius Pilate in collusion with the Jewish religious establishment on a charge of sedition.
Resurrection? He lives in those who follow him in goodness, love, and freedom.
